A peek at the week...

Reading: This week we will look at Unit 5, Week 4. We will read stories called Dolores Huerta: Growing Up Strong, Elizabeth Leads the Way: Elizabeth Cady Stanton and the Right to Vote, and Susan B. Anthony Takes Action! We will have a test on Friday over Elizabeth Leads the Way!

 

English: This week we will look at possessive pronouns. A possessive pronoun takes the place of a possessive noun. It shows who or what owns something. Use these before nouns: my, his, her, its, our, your, their. Possessive pronouns that can stand alone: mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs. Reflexive pronouns are used when the subject does something for or to itself. These end in –self or –selves: myself, itself, herself, themselves.

 

Spelling: This week our spelling words have inflectional endings: y to i. There will be a test on Friday!

 

Math: We will continue Module 5. We will look at Lessons 4-8.

 

Science: We will begin Chapter 5: Water.

Social Studies: The Anasazi projects look great!

 

AR: Read, read, read! The 4th Quarter goal must be earned by the end of the school year! There will be a special treat for those who earned 100+ AR points for the entire year!
