About Mrs. Hoffman
My name is Mrs. Sharon Hoffman, and I grew up on a farm about 65 miles south of Villa Grove. My father, Wilbur, was a farmer and licensed income tax practitioner, and my mother, Mary, was a teacher in the one-room schools of the Martinsville area, and later a teacher at South Center and Martinsville Junior-Senior High School.

I was graduated from Martinsville High School in 1982, from Lincoln Trail College in 1984 with an Associate's in Science Degree, from Eastern Illinois University in 1986 with a Bachelor's Degree in Junior High Education, and from the University of Illinois in 2000 with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

This is my THIRTY-FIFTH, AND LAST YEAR teaching in the Villa Grove School District, having taught junior high English for the first eight years, and junior high social studies for the past twenty-seven years.  Over my career, I have taught various courses (13 total) and grade levels, including high school English and high school World History.

My family includes my husband Lee, who has been the Villa Grove Schools art/PE instructor for the past thirty-six years, and our daughter, Kilee, who married Ben Simpson on June 15, 2019  Kilee and Ben met while participating on the Judson University Eagles Track Team, with Kilee a thrower and Ben a decathlete. Together, they have two beautiful dogs, Storm and Luna, and are expecting their first child, Rosalee Marie, in October.

Lee and I have two dogs of our own, Dottie and Kit, and they are our "lovely ladies."  I collect John Deere and Captain America memorabilia, as well as Breyer horses, especially those of a historical background.
